Karolina Dowd is a partner with Walsh Woodard LLC and has practiced with the firm since 2003. Her practice is dedicated to representing individuals injured due to the negligence of others.
Karolina handles a broad range of complex bodily injury matters including those arising from medical malpractice, automobile negligence, premises liability, and product liability. She played a crucial role from inception to conclusion in the Lynch v. State case which culminated with the Connecticut Supreme Court confirming a $34 million judgment in favor of our clients in a case that spanned over nine years.
Karolina was born in Zabrze, Poland and speaks fluent Polish. She has represented many Polish clients in personal injury and malpractice matters.

Professional Associations & Memberships
Karolina is actively involved in the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA). She is an Officer of CTLA and currently serves as its Parliamentarian. Karolina is also a member of CTLA’s Board of Governors, chair of the Communication Committee, a member of the Medical Malpractice and General Torts Committees, as well as a member and past chair of the Women’s Caucus. She regularly lectures on a wide range of topics including premises liability, lien issues, as well as litigation tactics and strategies.

Karolina graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2002. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology cum laude from Georgetown University in 1999.
